Fundraising Opportunity to Help Children in Uganda
Hillside and Children’s Ministry are partnering with our friends in Uganda to help support children’s education. We’re launching two special fundraising efforts—read below to learn how you can support.
We’re partnering with our Ugandan ministry leader Moses, who works closely with Hillside’s missionary Luke, to raise the $800 tuition fees for his two son’s school. This will allow them to attend boarding school and receive the education they deserve. Join us in supporting this incredible family and investing in their future! We are raising funds to provide safe, comfortable sleeping spaces for children at a boarding school in Uganda. Currently, nearly 50 boys and 50 girls are crowded into separate dormitory rooms, with 2–3 students sharing a single 2x6 mattress on the floor. These conditions make it difficult for the children to rest well and focus on their education. A bed gives these children a safe place to rest, dignity, comfort, and stability.
Our goal is to purchase bunk beds that would sleep 100 kids. There will be 50 for the girls’ dormitory and 50 for the boys’ dormitory. Each bunk bed unit is three beds high, includes mattresses, and costs $300 ($100 per bed). By raising $10,000, we can fully equip both dormitories and give every child a proper place to sleep.
